Bourbon connoisseurs and appreciators, get out your diaries… The Westbury, a part of The Doyle Collection Hotel Group and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is delighted to announce an extraordinary occasion in its Art Deco-inspired bar, The Sidecar. On June 14, a limited number of lucky guests will be taken through the history of a rare and elusive bourbon collection with an exclusive tasting event. This very special evening will be hosted by Drew Mayville, Master Blender at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, home to the world-famous Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve Bourbons.

This anticipated event will offer guests a unique opportunity to experience five of Pappy Van Winkle’s exceptional bourbon selections alongside individually paired canapés imagined by Sandeep Singh, Executive Chef at The Westbury: whiskey cured salmon and Guinness bread with lemon crème fraiche; short rib, bone marrow and croquettes with Gochujang aioli; goat’s cheese mousse, glazed figs, organic honey and caramelised walnuts; and butter poached lobster with lobster cream. Each of these servings has been created in collaboration with Drew Mayville to complement the specific tasting notes of the prized bourbons presented on the night, while also celebrating the very best of Irish seasonal produce with a creative twist.

The Pappy Van Winkle Tasting Evening in The Sidecar takes place on Tuesday, June 14th at 6.30pm. Tickets are €175 per person and are extremely limited.
