Scottish brewer BrewDog has opened its second Irish location, at 1-2 Courthouse Street, just off Washington Street, in the heart of the Cork city.

The bar is being run by franchisee group Westside Leisure who have operated a number of successful bars across Cork for 40 years. This is the seventh venue operated by Westside Leisure, which now employs close to 200 staff.

The venue has 2 floors, with a bar on each floor, plus a mezzanine. Each bar will have 30 taps of the craft beer from BrewDog plus curated local guest breweries, with a takeaway service available. The bar will also serve an exclusive brew from Original 7 Brewery called Judges Pup, plus spirits and wine, and coffee from Soma.

BrewDog Cork will offer the brewer’s menu of burgers and wings as well as vegan and salad options. There is also a local addition, The Ultimate Cork Boy, a Cork spiced beef burger. Every Monday there is a 2-for-1 vegan and vegetarian mains option, and on Wednesdays there’s an all you can eat spicy buffalo chicken or buffalo cauliflower wings for €10.

The bar is dog friendly, and features a Paws of Fame wall as well as doggy treats alongside a K9 hydration station.

For those looking to take a deeper dive into craft beer, BrewDog Cork will be running Beer School sessions; guided tastings led by Cicerone-trained staff, discovering the flavours and backstories to five beers over a laid-back couple of hours.
