The chill has reinstated itself firmly in the air, sweater weather is officially here and we are ready to embrace the change of season. October brings a delicious opportunity to indulge in wholesome hearty fare and of course the odd Pumpkin Spice Latte is essential. Here are some of the top spots to try this Autumn.
Lotts & Co.
Definitely one of the more balanced Pumpkin Spice Lattes on offer, Lotts & Co. make this seasonal favourite using Cloud Picker Espresso – the fresh cream and crumbled ginger bread topping doesn’t hurt either. Well worth seeking out before the end of the season.
Richmond
Renowned for consistency and seasonality, Richmond is without doubt a Dublin must with every change of season (and more, if you can). We recently spotted a Starter Special of chicken boudin, pumpkin & shimeji mushroom – yes please!
Fallon & Byrne
Arguably the most traditional taste of Halloween, long before the fanciful days of Pumpkin Spice, a slice of Barmbrack, smothered dental record thick with real butter was the job! Fallon & Byrne are baking these beauties fresh every day, it’s impossible to not purchase one, just from the scent alone.
Two Boys Brew
Looking for something new and delicious looking to try? The Autumn Hot Cake on offer in Two Boys Brew looks right up our street and is on our immediate “must eat” list.
Library Street
Bringing the best of Autumnal vibes, this Hokkaido Pumpkin Risotto from Library Street is the creamy, warming goodness we are craving right now.
Brother Hubbard Ranelagh
Look at this!!! Self described as a seasonal hug in a bowl, this is most definitely on the Autumnal wish list.
Two Pups Coffee
You had us at “Spiced Apple Butter”…goodness gracious isn’t this a sight to behold! The finest of seasonal flavours, this is just the treat needed on a chilly Autumn morning.
The Cupcake Bloke
Think Brack – but better! Esteemed baker and all round amazing cake maker, Graham Herterich, aka The Cupcake Bloke has elevated his already gorgeous Tea Brack with the addition of Frangipane, Poached Pears, Roast Plums & Almonds. We have been known to make many essential trips to The Bakery and it looks like another one is looming large for this gorgeous creation.
Loretta’s
The very sight of this dish quite literally evokes all of the Autumn feels. Known for their incredibly clever cooking, Loretta’s is definitely serving up the finest that the season has to offer.
The Shelbourne
With a fabulous new Autumn Cocktail Menu in place, the iconic Shelbourne Hotel is a glorious spot to sit back and take a break in whilst sipping on the flavours of the season.
