An asparagus tart with prosciutto and flaked almonds is a delightful dinner option that offers a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. Here’s a description to whet your appetite:

Picture a golden, flaky pastry crust, baked to perfection, serving as the base of this delectable dish. The crust is both buttery and crispy, providing a delicious foundation for the other ingredients.

On top of this buttery canvas, a layer of velvety Creme Fraiche is spread, adding a creamy richness to each bite. This sauce not only enhances the tart’s texture but also balances the savoury elements to come.

Now, imagine fresh, vibrant asparagus spears, tender-crisp and bursting with earthy flavour.

Intermingled with the asparagus, you’ll find delicate strips of prosciutto, each one adding a savory, salty note that complements the asparagus beautifully. The prosciutto’s slight crispiness contrasts with the tender asparagus, creating a delightful textural interplay.

To elevate the tart even further, a scattering of flaked almonds is generously sprinkled on top. These almonds are lightly toasted, imparting a delightful crunch and a subtle nutty undertone to every bite.
