In this course, owner Brigid O’Hora, a WSET trained Sommelier will take you behind the scenes into the world of wine and how it really works. Why is this course for you?

Are you tired of spending your hard earned money on bad wine? Do you feel overwhelmed ordering from a restaurant list? Do you trawl the aisles of the supermarkets, and wonder where to start. Well this is the course for you!

This course will help you understand how wine is made. It will take you through grapes and their flavours, so you can decide what YOU actually like. This in turn helps you choose better wines in the shops. Understanding the weight, the flavours and the quality in a wine, allows you to order with confidence in a restaurant or hotel.

Not only does this course teach you about grapes, flavours and quality, it also provides you with ‘behind the scenes’ information on how the industry itself works. You will learn all about costings, marketing, branding, factory wines and how this gargantuan industry works as a whole.

For €145, the course consists of;

  • 10 hrs of engaging wine content split into Bitesize learning videos.
  • Interactive wine tasting tutorials. Specifically curated recipes to match with.
  • Brigid is incredibly accomplished in her field and has worked for over 25 years in the restaurant industry as a Sommelier and restaurant manager. If you want to get a feel for the wine industry, this course is for you, and because of her background there’s a real nod to food and wine pairing. Other courses only really concentrate on grapes, styles, regions and flavours.

Sit on the couch with your glass of wine, learn all about the world it came from and the steps it took to arrive into your hands. This course is a fully rounded view of the wine industry, perfect for beginners, and is accessible to you wherever you are.
