Results from a survey carried out by Master of Mixes, Ireland’s No. 1 cocktail mix, have shown the nation’s favourite cocktail is the simple yet classic Strawberry Daiquiri. The survey, with over 775 participants, also confirmed that we’re a nation of partiers (no surprise there) with 62% of Irish people regularly taking on the role of mixologist, whipping up their very own cocktails at home.
Although Strawberry Daiquiri came out on top as Ireland’s number one cocktail of choice, a deeper dive shows that The Mojito was voted the number one cocktail amongst the people of Limerick (46%) and Galway (41%). The Pornstar Martini was voted Kilkenny’s favourite cocktail (74%), despite it emerging as the nation’s least favourite cocktail overall. It seems The Cats are saucier than they let on!
When asked what famous Irish person they would most like to share a cocktail with, the number one choice was our very own pride and joy, President Michael D. Higgins. The Irish nation crammed into Áras an Uachtaráin sipping on a Master of Mixes Strawberry Daiquiri with ‘Miggeldy’? Sounds like a dream!
Other notable mentions include Keith Barry who seemingly hypnotised the people of Roscommon, with 44% of them yearning for a tipple with the hypnotist. Joanne McNally charmed county Leitrim with 60% of people choosing the comedian as their ideal cocktail partner for the LOLs, and 67% of Sligo people fancy a cocktail date with the Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy. Can’t say we disagree!

Ingredients:
- 150ml Master of Mixes Strawberry
- 60ml Rum
Method:
- Add Master of Mixes Strawberry & Rum to a blender.
- Blend with two cups of ice until smooth.
- Garnish with a fresh strawberry & Enjoy!
MARGARITA
Ingredients:
- 120ml Master of Mixes Margarita
- 60ml Tequila
Method:
- Add Master of Mixes Margarita & Tequila to a shaker.
- Shake with ice & strain.
- Garnish with salted glass rim and a lime wedge &Enjoy!
