Served in the luxurious surroundings of The Reading Room with its open fire and stunning art, this year’s Valentine’s Afternoon Tea is inspired by the “The Myth of Cupid and Psyche” a timeless love story between the mortal princess Psyche and Cupid….
If you know you know….but if not …the myth tells of a mortal princess Psyche, whose immense beauty sparks the jealousy of Aphrodite who sends her son Cupid to curse Psyche, but instead he falls in love with her. Orna has curated her Valentines Afternoon Tea inspired by the characters in this love story and wishes guests to be taken on a journey through the myth….
Enjoy heart shaped Raspberry and Blonde Chocolate Macarons, complete with a chocolate arrow through the heart; Blueberry Cheesecake with Lemon Sand; a pineapple mousse and also a Tonka Bean and Cherry Rice Pudding.
Before guests get to the delicious, sweet treats, they can enjoy a selection of love heart shaped finger sandwiches and the Hotel’s signature freshly baked scones with fresh coffee or loose-leaf tea, one of which is the Red Roses blend tea alongside other master blends.
